TESTIMONIALS

“Dianna-Lynn is just about the most detail-oriented person I have ever met. She is a passionate and seemingly tireless worker who almost overwhelms with keen observations. If you want your prose to be technically rigorous, she can do that and, considering her expertise and thoroughness, she is a bargain for any content writer or author. Highly recommend.”

"While I never met you in person, I can tell you're a great gal.
In the time that you looked after the company's payroll and our timecards, there was not one mistake.
Your leaving will not only be a loss to the company
but to all the employees."

Lorne Scheffer, Driver, Island Fibre Ltd.

“For myself, three perfect paydays for payroll in a row are unheard of,
I will miss your genuine efforts to do an accurate and cheerful job!"

"I approached Dee and asked her if she would consider chairing the silent auction. Dee jumped into running this event with both feet! The annual Flower & Garden Show is financially the single largest aspect of the show. Its success is vital for the continuation o this important community event, attended annually by up to 400 people coming from all over Vancouver Island.
Dee managed to secure more than 75 auction items from local businesses and individuals. The auction was a terrific success, generating almost $1,900.00.
Mill Bay Garden Club welcomed Dee to its Executive Committee as the Newsletter Editor.
She was responsible for compiling and formatting club business and information for publication, as well as listings for relevant horticultural events, shows and presentations taking place on
Vancouver Island and the Mainland.
In summary, Dee is a dedicated self-starter with a keen sense of community and strong organizational skills.
She can capably produce required materials,
make contacts and meet deadlines.
For ANY organization or business, Dee would be a tremendous asset!"

Ajay Oppelaar, President
Mill Bay Garden Club

"I just want to say, one more time, how incredibly grateful I am for your patience, your assistance, and your understanding.
I have personally NEVER spoken with anyone, at any level of public service, that has been as genuinely pleasant,
and as kind as yourself.
You have a fan in me...and you've restored some faith in me that there are incredibly hard-working people out there that
actually care about the well being of others and their families.
Thank you."

Re: BC Ministry of Education Graduation Requirements

"Dianna-Lynn (Dee) Lundgren, Dee has worked in my branch since July 2007 as our Administrative Assistant, where her duties have included: managing the branch's correspondence, reception, travel, meetings, filing, branch purchases and accounts, and staff's leave.
With these duties well in hand,
Dee has shown initiative in taking on many additional tasks,
drawing on her varied experience in previous roles.
Dee has excellent technical skills and has readily taken on extra work associated with developing spreadsheets, presentation materials, system testing, and communication tools such as Elluminate
and Live Meeting, as needed in our branch.
Dee also has provided some training and support in various tools to branch and school staff.
She is detail-oriented, patient, and clear in her explanations to others, and is often called on by other branches for
assistance in office processes.
Dee is always willing to help others and has filled in many times to support our own staff or other branch staff when things get busy.
Dee is creative, passionate, and always eager to learn.
She is keen to fully understand processes and often finds new
and more efficient ways of doing things.
Her technical skills have been a real asset to our branch, and her friendly and approachable manner with others has made her a valuable member of our branch and Ministry."

Beverley Shaw, Director

Business Integration Branch

Business, Technology, and Online Services Division
Ministry of Education, BC Provincial Government

"I have worked with Dianna-Lynn (Dee) Lundgren since 2008 when I became the Director for Common Business Initiatives (CBI) in the BC Ministry of Education. During that time she provided administrative support for both me and the CBI branch. This was in addition to her duties for the Business Integration Branch.
Dee was responsible for a range of administrative tasks including updating my schedule, making meeting arrangements, processing business expenses, ordering supplies and assisting with
the preparation of correspondence.
She set up branch procedures for managing briefing notes and correspondence (through CLIFF) and financial records (through I-Procurement), and provided support to branch staff.
Dee coordinated arrangements for several events held at off-site venues, including provincial management meetings and the BC eSIS Users' Conference. In addition to working with vendors, this required the preparation and processing of Business Expense Approvals, Business Travel Approvals and appropriate travel documentation for Ministry staff, contractors, and participants from school districts.
She also managed  the tracking and retention of Memorandums of Understanding signed by school districts and independent schools that participated in the BC eSIS initiative."

"I have known Dee since she began her work in the
Dept. of Psychology as a secretary last year, 1999.
I am a Professor in the department and the
Director of Clinical Training.
It is in this latter capacity that I have had the most interaction with Dee, as she is the staff person who is responsible for the clerical needs of the Graduate Program in Clinical Psychology.
Although I typically have some interaction with Dee on a daily basis,
I have worked very closely with her during intensive periods
when major projects or documents relative to the
clinical program have been required.
Dee has been exceptionally helpful and responsible in the
production of these documents.
I have found her to be very responsive to my questions and requests.
Her production of documents is accurate and well thought out.
She often makes suggestions about layout, content, and design
that are very useful in giving the documents a
more readable and professional appearance.
Her computer skills for word processing, preparation of tables, and document production are excellent, and
I appreciate her attention to detail.
Interpersonally, I have greatly enjoyed Dee's
open and supportive approach.
She expresses her thoughts about how a project might proceed freely, but I like her directness and her willingness
to think things through with me.
I have often given her large, cumbersome projects with many parts in various stages of completion.
She is very organized in her approach to these projects and communicates well with me about the status of the project.
Often, there have had to be changes to sections at the last minute.
I have really appreciated her flexibility, good humor, and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Dee clearly takes pride in her work.
I find her to be a quick and flexible thinker and to have a very positive approach with respect to her job.
Overall, I have found Dee to be a bright, hard-working,
and positive individual.
She has excellent computer and document production skills
and a strong work ethic.
I will miss working with her and would not hesitate to work with her again should the opportunity arise."

Catherine A. Mateer, Ph.D., ABPP/CN, R. PSYCH

Professor & Director of Clinical Training
University of Victoria

"I am familiar with Dianna-Lynn in her position as secretary in the Department of Psychology a the University of Victoria. I relied on Dianna-Lynn to carry out a number of duties relating to my position as a faculty member and Coordinator of the Psychology course at UVic.
A large part of those duties involved typing and supervising the preparation of examinations in that course. This is a demanding task, as there are multiple forms of the exams, and they must be constructed without error, and under significant time and formatting constraints.
Dianna-Lynn carried out these duties with extreme care and diligence, and was always ready to 'go the extra mile' if I
needed assistance on short notice.
She is extremely responsible in this position, and she showed excellent initiative in carrying out those responsibilities.
She is an excellent typist who rarely makes mistakes, and she showed superior creativity and judgment in her formatting and other decisions. Her technical performance of this challenging task was among the best of any of the approximately twenty typists that
I have worked with in similar positions.
As well as performing her typing and clerical duties at a very high standard, Dianna-Lynn also showed herself to be extremely cheerful, friendly, and extremely helpful in performing her duties.
She was responsible and flexible in her position, and appeared to handle interactions with peers, supervisors, and
students with patience and sensitivity.
I have found her to be one of the most efficient and pleasant staff people I have worked with at UVic, and I recommend her highly."

Martin Smith, Ph.D., PSYC 100 Coordinator
University of Victoria

"Dianna-Lynn (Dee) Lundgren is a highly respected and valued member of the Oaklands School Community.
Dianna-Lynn (Dee) has been volunteering extensively in our school. She is coordinating our Call-Back Program,

and provides an After-School Cooking Program that has proven to be extremely popular with students and parents.
She also provides her expertise and energy to our pivotal School Planning Council and is involved in a host of other areas."

Randy Kaneen, Principal

Oaklands Elementary School

"I found Dee to be an asset to the other members of the class, helping clarify concepts for the other students.
She was also very helpful in assisting with trouble-shooting when we encountered technical difficulties.
I suggested to her that she look at doing some one-on-one tutoring and other technical assistance as I think
she would make an excellent and patient teacher."

Olivia Anderson, Branch Head
Bruce Hutchinson Branch
Greater Victoria Library

"Dianna-Lynn was hired to fill a new position - traffic & administration - to coordinate material between sales and production for our two publications, Coastal  Grower and Cottage Magazines.
Dianna-Lynn established new procedures and reorganized files.
We were pleased with Dianna-Lynn's work, however, I found there simply wasn't enough activity to keep the new position viable.
Dianna-Lynn was a cheerful member of the staff and demonstrated exceptionally good telephone communication skills."

Mary Mills, Publisher
Greenheart Publications, Coastal Grower & Cottage Magazines
Victoria, BC

"Dianna-Lynn has been a part-time member of our staff and this has meant that she has had to operate within strict time constraints. However, she has responded quickly to all requests I have made for assistance, and her work has been very accurate and well-organized.
Dianna-Lynn has an excellent telephone manner, is an enthusiastic and conscientious employee, who does her work in a timely manner and with accuracy and would be an excellent addition to any office team."
